Hellberg Regional is a combination of a com radio 2-way headset
and hearing protector ideal for use in medium and high noise areas.
Built-in electronics block harmful noise over 80dB from reaching
the ear via the speakers and electronics while communicating on
your radio. This means that a person working in an environment with
a high noise level can communicate with people without having to
leave the noisy area or remove the hearing protectors. Listen only
models available.
The radio operates both by voice activation
(VOX) and Push to talk (PTT).

Regional can be fitted with an optional large diameter remote
PTT button, which can be
position and fastened to an
article of clothing.
For communication in extremely noisy environments it might be advantegeous
to supply your
Regional with a throat microphone.
Regional can be mounted on a neck band
or attached to most safety helmets on the market.
Passive hearing protectors remove the surrounding
sounds, eg alarms and warning signals, this can effectively decrease
safety in certain work situations.
Regional-2 permits normal comprehension of surrounding
sounds possible. Sensitive microphones catch the surrounding sound
with full stereo effect. At a low noise level weak sounds are amplified
and at high noise levels the amplification is limited to 80 dB(A)
through the electronics.
Com radios can intermittently and uncontrolled emit
very high signals. These signals are often harmful to the hearing.
Regional is therefore equipped with a special electronic
filter (CEPS - Communication Electronic Protection System), which
effectively removes these signals and limits the sound from the
telephone to a harmless level with a maximum of 80 dB(A).
