In many situations there may by several teams in an area and need for teamleaders or supervisors to communicate with each team. Local with pre-programmed channels makes it possible to easily communicate and instruct any team without disturbing the other simply by changing between channels. As long as all teams are within the range of the built-in tranceivers then the numbers of users in each group theoretically unlimited.
